Russia’s Ford Sollers starts Ford car exports to Armenia
MOSCOW, Jul 14 (PRIME) -- Russia car producer Ford Sollers, a joint venture between American automaker Ford Motor Company and car producer Sollers, has started exports of its Ford cars to Armenia, Ford Sollers said in a statement on Thursday.
“Cars which were produced in Russia will help Ford enforce its position on the Armenian market and increase the share of the brand in the country due to a competitive price and a wide range of models. The new Ford Fiesta sedan, as well as new Ford Mondeo and Ford EcoSport cars will be sold on the Armenian market for the first time,” it said.
Ford Sollers plans to export all Russia-produced Ford cars to Armenia including new Ford Fiesta sedans and five-door hatchbacks, Ford Focus, Ford Mondeo, Ford Explorer, Ford Kuga and Ford EcoSport cars.
Ford Sollers’ Russian sales rose 56% on the year to 20,600 cars in January–June.
